For the first puzzle I was tempted to try having the black king escape further out to f3, but the rook and bishop do a good job of blocking everything except for the center diagonal which the a pawn can simply cover by promoting to a bishop

First Puzzle: bxa8=N, Kxg2, Nb6, any black legal move, a8=Q# or a8=B#.

Second Puzzle: d4, if Kg4, e4+, Kh4, g3#, if Kh5, Qd3, Kg4 or Kh4, Qh3#.
