11:24 Black King can move Kg3
Nice one. I was thinking about that bishop move as it was one of the few that stopped the pawn. But I couldn't see all the variations that don't work for black.
Very nice and unpredictable puzzle, chess gives limitless options, thank you!
such a quiet video
Thank you so much I'm always stuck in this position!
Nicceee one
Nice puzzle, although quiet moves are really difficult to spot if you aren't looking for them. I really liked how the black rook tried his best in all those variations though.
If they play terrible, Qf1 leads to mate in 5
In a matter of fact initially I was thinking for any other piece but the bishop. The King-Queen skewer was so obvious that I thought I had to move the king or queen from first rank or make some forcing checks with the knight.
When you said the first move is a bishop move I was shocked! 😀
amazing
I don't understand what you mean about the Q being 'kicked away' if Black played P – KN7 [sorry I don't use algebraic notation, I abhor it]. Because the Q has only 4 moves, none of them allowing her to be kicked away anywhere else on the board! She can only take the B and check the K but then be taken herself; take the P and check the K and still be taken; move to KN1 and be taken by the B; move to KB1 and be taken by the P.
