Sagar Shah is spot on when he said people who had left chess are now coming back to it due to this stream. I had won Chess competition in my college twice during Engineering 11 years back and totally forgotten about it. Now after watching this stream, I have started playing again π Thanks Samay for the stream. The Indian GMs are all super cool.
Chess players like me might be feeling envious since here we …. Even after playing so many national tournaments, still dream to have such conversations with GMs and IMs and get coaching from them like this(Which is infact free)
But here we see a bunch of comedians chilling out with them.
I am jealous guys.
By the way, I still love all of them. No offense. That's great that these are trying to get chess mainstream.
Great job. Full support from all dedicated chess players.
Edit:- Thanks for 150+ likes …. I've never got these many…. And yaa one important fact, This is my father's id and I am just 15.(i don't know why i needed to mention this)
Second puzzle was bit confusing , if black rook is captured with white pawn then queen takes rook on a1 after that white can defend it with three pieces with rook queen and bishop..π€
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=q4s9QqiXM5M Sagar Shah presenting a beautiful play by Carlsen avoiding queening the pawn too soon even though it seems the obvious move. Can you figure out what threat Black has ? π
Actually Samay and friends found an awesome job. Sagar was spot on saying people who left chess are coming back. I came back after playing chess in school.
2:31 Just to clarify, Chessbase India is NOT the Biggest Chess Channel in India. Please go & search for Chess Talk. He has more than 500k subscribers & he is also an Indian.
As someone who knows only English and Bengali and absolutely no Hindi whatsoever, this format is very confusing lol. I catch some words here and there that are the same or very similar to Bangla words, "mar", "khel", "bhol", etc, but in general Hindi is quite foreign to me. Not that you shoukd change the format of the show or stray from your most comfortable language just for me, but I think your shows are now reaching a bit more of an international audience since you've started including super GMs, agadmator, young supertalents, etc, which should maybe be a bit more of a consideration. Still, great job so far and very entertaining stuff
