  1. That 1st puzzle is a fabulous KNIGHTS(nice) checkmate

  2. I bet this guy will will against 100 queens with just a knight πŸ˜‚

  3. First puzzle: promote pawns to knights… I was correct!
Second Puzzle: Promote to bishop… I got that one right!
Third: Got this one wrong… aiming for a victory and would have lost.

  4. Isnt the thumbnail just a mate in 1 ?
    Edit: or rather M2

  5. This could end in one move if the posision is knight to C6 then queen to C7 and that is a mateπŸ™ƒπŸ™ƒπŸ™ƒπŸ™ƒ

  6. The first one doesn't work, the last knight move can be captured by the pawn…

  7. Thank you so much for always pointing out at the start which way the pawns are moving and now for the new graphic. Really helpful. You're a great communicator.

  8. Hi nelson where can you sent chess puzzles?

  9. Hey just wanna let you know that the way you go through these challenges is very helpful for my brain, and that I’ve improved immensely in chess since I started watching your videos!

  10. Hey! Just a small little thing: the pieces seem a little pixelated; is it possible to capture the pieces in a higher quality?

  11. Champion6a's puzzle is an excellent endgame exercise!

  12. Seems impossible to get into such a position

  13. I understood what to do in the third puzzle as soon as I heard the word draw

  14. I agree with b walker in puzzle 2, can't the night just swing down and fork the queen and king after promotion? Does a king move from white prevent this?

  15. I found the 1st puzzle to be easy

  16. well white obv wins the thumbnail position if its mate

  17. how its checkmate on first ? cannt they just kill horse with pon ?

  18. This reminds me of the BBC children's show Play Chess with Bill Hartston that always used to be on in the school holidays in the UK back in the late 1970s. I learned a lot about the pieces and the moves from that (but obviously not military strategy)

  19. Great video as always! The positions were spectacular. When can we have the next episode of Stump the Chump?

  20. Wow, this Bishop vs Knight geometry is really beautiful!

  21. Getting sent ridiculous chess puzzles by viewers speaks for itself

  22. The first Puzzle actually locked familiar.

  23. i want to send you a puzzle, it was a game from Giri, Anish VS Duda, Jan-Krzysztof and i saw it from GothamChess Channel, it is mate in 11 as white

    FEN: 2r2rk1/ppR5/1n1n4/3PNP2/3q3p/5Qp1/P5PP/1B3R1K w – – 0 1

  24. Wow, that night and bishop endgame was super cool. Absolutely now way I could do it in a real game xD

  25. first puzzle take the knight w the pawn then white loses no ?

  26. I managed to solve all the puzzles in this video, but it was hard. Amazing puzzles though, let’s be honest.

  27. The first position is cool but not possible. Better to alter the problem and make it possible to occur, some which way.

  28. btw the first one is almost like the composition , if i remmeber correctly, "Napolleon's Flight from Moscow". The 'hussars' chased the black king from the a1-square, moscow, across a river and into pairs. then mate by discovered check

  29. The night run doesn’t actually get to happen if pon takes on the first check

  30. You should also add an image so we can know if castling is an,option or not in applicable puzzles

  31. for puzzle 1 from ben cant you just do b8
    get horse and then checkmate

  32. I have something for you: (FEN) 3k4/2p2K2/1p1p1N2/pP1P4/P5B1/8/2P5/8 w – – 0 1

It is a nice mate in 3, and while it looks like a composed puzzle, I got this position as white in an actual game (was a 10+5 rapid game). Maybe you want to include it in one of your videos?

  33. Thank you for that nice collection. One remark at 14:37: Better as Qb7+?? Rxb7 -+, or Qxa6+ Kb8 Qc8+ with repetition, is simply Qb8+ with immediate stalemate.

  34. actuallt after moving queen f2 you can still checkmate with queen e8 (third puzzle)

  35. I did pick up the key move in puzzle 1 with the underpromotion theme. πŸ™‚

  36. yeah the first puzzle is amazing and all but imagine a chess game where white lost all their pieces except for the a and b pawns who got to the 7th rank and white's king went into the black territory and black didn't lose any pieces
